A little old architecture in Geelong, plus some....

Some snaps I took while killing time waiting for car to be serviced!! It was only a hop, skip & a jump into CBD of Geelong to spend approx 5hrs or so..... so, plenty of coffee & of course had tucked digital camera in(just in case!) & off I go.....



Ye Olde Ballaarat

Heritage Weekend May 2012

There is just something special when visiting Ballarat that takes you back in time... I love the wonderful old buildings from the days of the Gold mining boom & the Eureka Stockade lining the main streets, the old factory buildings in the suburbs (& there's a lot of them!), spectacular colourful gardens surrounding Lake Wendouree & in the streets..... A beautiful city!

Ballaarat Heritage weekend is certainly an event not to be missed, with many things happening, heritage tours, horse & cart rides, period costumes, steam train rides & much more.... we visited only for half a day. Promise to self, next year we'll stay for whole weekend!!

 

A drive to the country......

I took a drive to visit my daughter & her family the other weekend, & as usual my trusty camera comes along too! It was rather foggy, so snapped a couple of shots in fog, would have been loads more if wasn't on a time schedule, trust me!

As I left for my return trip home, there was a sprinkling of rain & I caught the most gorgeous rainbow..... always so fleeting, as the sun moves & rain stops.

So, pulling quickly to side of road, window down & camera out, I snap away. The magic moment is gone just as quickly as it appears.........

Did you know, Winter can be so Beautiful!

I just needed to head off armed with my trusty camera, I tell you it's like an addiction..... and most enjoyable at that!

With my darling Skeeta girl following closely, we headed off around Geelong to find some colours in winter, & see what was happening....
